Hook and eyes are spring loaded for both child proofing and easy removal by adults. These are typically used to attach two sections together and are provided with each section. One extra hook end eye will be needed to attach the last section to a stationary object if not making a complete circle around the pool. 2 hook and eyes per step will be needed for stair installation.

Stationary fasteners are easiest to use on a screen enclosure rail. They also cannot be removed without the use of tools adding the ultimate amount of safety if you are planning to keep your fence up full time.
